Hendrik Willem Van Loon (1882–1944) has one book in the BigBookHub catalogue: The Story of Mankind.
A history of Western civilization written for the author's children. It covers early humans, writing, art and religion, and ends with the modern nation-state, including only the events the author judged necessary for understanding how civilization developed.
